The 1st set of beach measurements were conducted by Coastal Protection Engineering in late spring 2020. The compared their results with previous measurements done by the Army Corps of Engineers. They also used a computer simulation to estimate the impact of a single big storm, like Isabel, on eroding the dune line to below the foundation of oceanfront homes. They identified 40 homes with potential single storm impact today and 250 more homes with potential impact with continued erosion and a single major storm. Here is their briefing.
